“The Spanish-Cuban-American War” Lecture Series [March 14th, March 16th, March 21st, March 23rd]
Join me for this four part exploration into how our nearest international neighbor became an independent nation, including the extended, crucial role America played in that effort, and how what happened then still affects the world today. It is the story of the United States of America becoming a global power as it took on new responsibilities and challenges which would last for the next one hundred-twenty years. This look at the Spanish-American War focuses on its Caribbean theater of operations, and, as a bonus, it will offer insight for my readers on the subject matter of my newest novel, An Honorable War, the 13th in my Honor Series of action packed thrillers.
PART 3 ~ A Test Of Strength – The Land Battle For Santiago: Time to delve into what really happened in the battles of El Caney, Kettle Hill, and San Juan Heights, which were anything but easy for the U.S. Army. When that exhausting day was over, the Americans faced a horrifying truth: the worst was yet to come.
